Mud Quest – “The Hungry Games”

By Parson’s Roofing and benefiting Shepard’s Heart Pantry

Coming May 25th, 2013

The Event:

MudQuest is back Memorial Day weekend coupled with an incredible list of activities.  Reserve May 25th, 2013 for a run through our new course at BSR Cable ParkPrepare yourself for the most insane course we have ever built.   Those who came to the original MudQuest in West may remember our 125′ water slide.  It’s baaaaack….  but this version is insane!  As if the obstacles are not enough, a good portion of the run will be through a wildlife preserve.  You will run among black buck, axis deer, and elk.  Event details here

Full Weekend of Activities:

BSR Cable Park has an entire weekend of events planned.  Starting Thursday, May 23rd and running through Sunday, May 26th BSR will be hosting the Triple Crown of Wake boarding.  This event is recognized as the largest wake boarding event in the country.  Hang around Saturday and Sunday for the finals and watch the pro’s trick the course out!  How about a live music from many up and coming local bands?

3 Adult Courses, 1 Children’s Course:

We have made a few changes for you hard core runners that need a challenge.  Prepare to conquer the 13.1 mile Executioner course.  There will only be one heat of this course, and we recommend training hard.  You can expect between 80 and 100 obstacles on the course.  Our 6.5 Crusade has been compared to other races that are much longer.  Finish this one and you have earned your finisher medal!

Of course we still have the 10k Crusade with 40-60 obstacles, 5k Conquest with 20-30 obstacles and our famous Little Lords and Ladies course for ages 3-12.  However, we have scrapped the 2 mile Expedition.  That’s right first timers, time to get off the couch and challenge yourselves!

Our Obstacles:

If you are new to Mud Quest, all of our courses are packed with more obstacles than any other race of this kind and more obstacles equals more fun!  We have become famous for the creativity of our courses. Our courses are created to maximize the experience of the participating adventurers.

 Helping Families in Need:

We chose the name “The Hungry Games” because of our partnership with Shepard’s Heart PantryShepard’s Heart has been feeding families in need around the Waco area for several years.  They are currently providing 900 meals per week to families in need right here in Waco.  Waco has a staggeringly high poverty rate at 32%.  This is double the national average.  Our goal is to raise $75,000 to help their cause.  This our first 100% non-profit event.
